Goals

The Master in “Big Data in Business: discovering & leveraging for Value Creation”, is offered by Department of Economics and Finance, Department of Electronic Engineering, Department of Enterprise Engineering and Department of Physics of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, and is jointly organized by Telecom Italia S.p.A and these departments with the participation of Ericsson Telecomunicazioni S.p.A. The Master is a one-year graduate program (Master di secondo livello) designed to provide the participants with the necessary scientific, managerial, and technical background to work, at the highest professional level, in the area of Big Data. The graduate will receive the skills that are needed to manage advanced technologies in Software Engineering, Statistics, and Telecommunication Engineering for the design and management of Big Data.

The program, entirely in English, is organized over 12 months in two distinct periods. For the first 7 months the participants will attend courses at the University di Roma Tor Vergata where they will acquire the necessary theoretical and methodological training. In the following 5 months the participants will do an internship either at Telecom Italia S.p.A or Ericsson Telecomunicazioni S.p.A., leading companies in the telecommunication sector. The Master is fully financed by Telecom Italia and Ericsson. During the intership the students will receive financial support.

The Master is limited to a maximum of 25 positions.
