Starting the a.y. 2021/22 the II level Master in Big Data of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, is organized in partnership with Contaminaction Hub.
The Master meets the demand for young talents with certified knowledge and skills in the field of Data Management and the creation of a training programme, with teaching activities in class and internships at companies.
The teaching activities of the Master in Big Data, are offered by Department of Economics and Finance, Department of Electronic Engineering, Department of Enterprise Engineering and Department of Physics of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. The Master is a one-year graduate program (Master di secondo livello) designed to provide the participants with the necessary scientific, managerial, and technical background to work, at the highest professional level, in the area of Big Data. Graduates will receive the skills needed to manage advanced technologies in Software Engineering, Statistics, and Telecommunication Engineering for the design and management of Big Data.
The program, entirely in English, is organised over 12 months in two distinct periods. For the first 7 months, the participants will attend courses online where they will acquire the necessary theoretical and methodological training. In the following 5 months, the participants are required to produce a written final work (Master thesis), which corresponds to 9 ECTS (credits). Its topic should be agreed with the coordinator of the program. The Master thesis could be also carried out during an internship in Italian or European companies and institutions. During his visiting as an intern, the student will have two tutors, one selected by the Master Coordinator and the second one indicated by the hosting institution.
The Master is limited to a maximum of 30 positions and a minimum of 15 positions.
